One in three older adults 'experience loneliness, with 34% of people aged 50-80 reporting feeling isolated from others. Social interaction keeps this loneliness at bay.

This group of church seniors (60-95) has been operating for more than 30 years. Approximately 20-25 people attend monthly for lunch and a program. Due to the age and health condition of some members, traveling has become difficult, so group travel is limited. So many programs are in-person events, music, lectures, and life skills for people over 50. Upcoming events include how to use technology to help improve your life.

The 39ers prepare small holiday gifts or send get-well cards for the “shut-ins.” Resources and volunteers are needed for member outreach, as well as funds for honorariums for the guest speakers or performers.
