FAQ

Where do we get our pumpkins? Pumpkins are grown on the Navaho Indian reservation in Farmington, NM. They are cut fresh on the farm and immediately loaded on a truck and driven directly to the church. Deliveries of fresh produce are available every 2 to 3 weeks.

How many varieties do we sell?  We receive up to 25 varieties of pumpkins with a wide selection of sizes, shapes and colors.

Why does Jonesboro UMC sponsor the pumpkin patch each year?  What started as a fundraiser for our youth in 2004, has turned into a ministry supported by our entire congregation. We quickly became known as the "Pumpkin Church." In addition to selling pumpkins, we offer family fun activities every Saturday. The patch has brought our entire church family together and has been an avenue to build our faith and provide connection and outreach to our community.

How will the proceeds be used?  Proceeds from the pumpkin sales and from other activities will be used to support youth ministries, church missions and community outreach.  Each year nearly 90% of the money raised goes to support local, regional, and international charities and church missions.
